The municipality of Veere is best discovered on foot or by bicycle. Experience the amazing variety during a bike tour around the island. Or get a breath of fresh air on the beach on a beautiful autumn day.
You could also combine the two: hop on a bike and head to the beach for a nice long walk, and finish your day out with a drink and a bite to eat, while overlooking the sea.
Start your castle route in the historical town of Veere and head towards Vrouwenpolder as you cycle along the beautiful Veerse Meer. Between Vrouwenpolder and Oostkapelle, you will cycle past stunning natural areas that lie nestled against the dunes, before cycling into the forest of De Manteling where you will find the medieval Westhove Castle. You will encounter many lovely spots to grab a drink or a delicious lunch on the way. Return to Veere with a ride through the farmlands, and recover from your lovely bike tour in one of Veere's many restaurants.
A lovely route through the dunes that eventually takes you to the Westkapelle seawall.
On this route, you will enjoy delightful vistas, rugged dunes and a lovely view of Westkapelle and its lighthouses from the seawall.

This is a slightly longer route that leads you along Walcheren's coastline. Cycle along the Westkapelle seawall and make a pit stop at one of the many restaurants you'll encounter on your way. During the route you will experience the variety of village centres in the municipality of Veere. With the constantly changing landscape, there's never a dull moment:
forests, beaches, and back again through beautiful farmlands. This route is a must for cycling enthusiasts.
