The kitesurfers have their own hotspot in Vrouwenpolder, and at Veerse Meer you can see luxurious sailing yachts and boats discovering the beautiful surroundings.

Sail past the picturesque villages on Veerse Meer, or sail around Walcheren island at sea. The kitesurfing spot in Vrouwenpolder is great for advanced and novice kitesurfers alike. Opposite Kitesurfschool Vertigo, a shallow lagoon sometimes appears that is perfect for learning. Both locals and tourists gather here to enjoy the wind and the waves.
There are several locations for windsurfing on Veerse Meer. Near the Veerse Gatdam, you will find a windsurfing school where you can take lessons. There is also windsurfing between Domburg and Oostkapelle when the wind is favourable. And every year, the Battle of Domburg is contested among the waves!
The easiest and most accessible to discover the Veerse Meer is by sloep (a motored jolly boat). After a brief explanation of the rules, you can spend a day on the water independently with a rented sloep. Why not take a picnic to enjoy on one of the islands in the lake? In summertime, you can take a refreshing dip in the water.
