The beaches of the municipality of Veere are among the cleanest and most stunning beaches in the Netherlands. Relax and enjoy the sun and the sea, or take a nice long beach walk and have a bite to eat and a drink on the way at one of the beach pavilions. So... which beach should you head for? We have listed a few that we can heartily recommend.
The widest beaches of the municipality of Veere are located behind the Gatdam of Veere. Just park your car at Veerse Meer, and within a few minutes you will be feeling the sand between your toes. The widest part of the beach at Vrouwenpolder is also perfect for kitesurfing, and if you prefer a quiet beach, this is a perfect place to put down your towel. As you head towards Oostkapelle, the beach narrows a little. You will also find a lifeguard post here. Tip for hardcore beach lovers: you can also rent overnight beach cottages on the wide section of the beach.

The beaches at Dishoek are absolutely stunning. They have been flying the blue flag for years, and with good reason: the bathing water is of high quality and the beaches are clean. You can rent beach huts for daytime use or to stay overnight, and rent sunbeds and parasols from the lifeguard post near the beach crossing. This spot is popular with locals and tourists alike for spending the summer. In autumn or winter, the nature area behind the dunes is perfect for a nice long walk.

When you cross the dunes from this picturesque village, you arrive at the wide sandy beaches of Domburg. With its characteristic groynes and a slightly more upscale vibe, this beach is a major draw for many people. Thanks to the excellent water quality and the clean beach, you will also see the blue flag flown here. The beaches continue all the way to Westkapelle, so if you're looking for a quieter stretch of beach, there's plenty of choice. The pavilions and terraces, open all year round, make for a convivial atmosphere.

A five-kilometre stretch of sandy beach with beautiful dunes. This southern beach with day beach huts and groynes is part of the Zeeland Riviera; the perfect spot for a summer day. It's only a short hop from the village to the beach, and vice versa, so there is a good atmosphere. Take a stroll along the promenade from the beach to a terrace for a snack or drink.

Oostkapelle beach borders on the most beautiful nature areas of the municipality of Veere.
A rugged dune landscape and a lovely forest offer access to the beautiful beaches of Oostkapelle. The wide beach with excellent facilities and beautiful pavilions is popular with tourists and locals alike. It even caters for the nudists among us: it features the municipality's only stretch of nudist beach. To get there, walk in the direction of Vrouwenpolder.
